As many of you have noticed, our information security events calendar only covers events held in North America. But information security is not an issue only in North America, but everywhere around the world. We have noticed an increase of good security events outside North America, so we decided to create another google shared calendar. This calendar will identify information security events outside North America, and the calendar is called Infosec Events – Around the World. If you know of an event that is missing, please contact us.

This post officially kicks off the project to identify information security resources in the cities we live in. Why do this? Why not do it? There is no resource that lists the various information security groups, meet-ups, and conferences in one place, and I think it would be very beneficial to have one.

We already started the project in the background, with the San Francisco Bay Area Security Community, and the Cleveland Security Community. And we already have commitment from others to post about their information security community in Boston, Chicago, Phoenix, New York, and Northern Virginia.

If you would like to participate in this project, please contact us.
