Each week, we’ll highlight a major city in the US and cover the places and events you can go to in that area to get your security information fix. This post is part of the information security communities.
Bismarck is a small city with a big heart. Nothing much happens on the infosec front. Considering its modest size, there a few local professional groups in town.
- North Dakota ISSA – A statewide chapter that has nothing on the horizon for April. Last meeting happened March. For updates and contacts, visit their homepage.
- U of North Dakota AITP – Not exactly in Bismarck, but close enough. It’s unknown if these guys are even active since there’s nothing on their schedule.
Bismarck is no metropolis, but it does have at least one hackerspace.
- BisHack – After scouring the far corners of the web, the only hackerspace registered in Bismarck is BisHack. They don’t look too busy at the moment.
There might be a few groups and events we missed. If so, feel free to chime in at the comments.
